Netflix’s Dragon Prince season 6 confirmed for 2024 release
As predicted, Netflix has confirmed during Geeked Week that The Dragon Prince will be returning for Season 6 in 2024.
Since the beginning of 2018, the animated series “Dragon Prince” has been released on Netflix, which has become one of the most popular and best fantasy animated shows for children. Developed by Wonderstorm, the series already has five seasons, and the final, fifth season, was released on Netflix on July 23, 2023. This happened a few days earlier than originally planned, because the original release date was set for July 27.
In celebration of Geeked Week 2023, which features over 48 shows, movies and games, The Dragon Prince has teamed up with Netflix to unveil a new poster for the sixth and penultimate season.
The Dragon Prince season 6 release date is scheduled for 2024
A 2024 release is expected to be confirmed, given that the show’s phases were released consecutively, with the final seasons being produced sequentially.
The first stage was called “The Saga of the Dragon Prince”, and the second – “The Mystery of Aaravos”, which will end in the sixth season.
Phase 3 will only include one season, which will be the show’s seventh and final season.
Each stage (named by the book) had the following names:
- Book 1: The Moon
- Book 2: Sky
- Book 3: The Sun
- Book 4: Earth
- Book 5: Ocean
- Book 6: Stars
The title of the sixth book was revealed at NYCC in October 2023, along with a new sneak peek, but has yet to be shown to a general audience.
Geeked Week isn’t over yet this week, and we can expect another announcement regarding The Dragon Prince. The live broadcast will take place on Thursday at 1:00 PM PT, 4:00 PM ET or 8:00 PM GMT. It’s important to note that this announcement does not apply to either Seasons 6 or 7. So, you can expect even more news!
