Director James Gunn has confirmed that the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 casting rumors currently circulating are “nonsense.”

With the final completion of Suicide Squad – the sequel to the reboot and sequel set in DC Worlds – Gunn’s attention has undoubtedly turned to his third film, Marvel Cinematic Universe. In response to the complaint, Gunn tweeted: “There is no casting in the third volume. And in what world would I choose a “Caucasian” if the character has golden skin? And if I wanted the Zac Efron type, wouldn’t I? go to Zac Efron?

Where did you get this nonsense?

Shortly after his post, Seth Rogen entered the comments with a typically humorous response: “Damn, I was going to present myself in the spirit of Zac Efron,” to which Gunn joked, “Zac Efron, but not TOO TOO Zac Efron, sorry.”

This isn’t even the first time Gann has had to deny rumors that Efron is going to play Adam Warlock, refuting such speculations in 2019.

Marvel comics fans have been waiting for the Warlock to appear ever since his appearance in the post-credits scene for Guardians of the Galaxy. Part 2, but its future in the MCU is still unclear.
